Going down to Panama was really a lot of fun. In addition to the satisfaction of
actually performing a real-world mission, there was a ton of fun stuff to do on days off.
Got PADI certified for SCUBA diving, went fishing in Lake Gatun, watched the container
ships go up and down at the locks. And of course, there was "Shooting the Gap," and "Night
Warfare" on the Army golf course, alligators on the golf course, driving golf balls at the U.S.
Naval ships going by the in the canal. Let's not forgat the flying - outside of 40nm radius
from the base was "Due Regard," low level and fast... Any other good stories from Panama?
